The gold frame of Tutankhamun's mummy. First translated into Russian. Gebe's speech (center, right column). Interestingly, Geb refers to the king in speech as both Horus, his grandson, the living, acting king, and Osiris, his son, the deceased king:

Two different spellings of the word "Mistress" (ḥnwt) on a relief from the tomb of Queen Neferu and the sarcophagus of Queen Kavit (both wives of King Mentuhotep II). On the relief of Neferu, the word is written out with 3 additional signs (plant-ḥn, pot-nw, bread-t). This suggests that despite the existence of standard spellings, the use of hieroglyphs made it possible to write almost any word. Also, the presence of a determinative was optional (it is absent on the relief of Neferu). The inscriptions read: "combing the lady, royal wife" (Nefer); "for yours, mistress, drink what I give you" (Kavit).
