The Encyclopedia of Young Marmots says that around the 9th year of the reign of Akhenaten, references to Ra-Horakhti and Shu were removed from the official spelling of the name of the god Aton (apparently for the purpose of total monotheization), and further cartouches look like in ill. 1 (↓).
I wonder if this is the reason for the presence on this stele (↑) of the signs of a "panicle of a reed" and an "ostrich feather" (?) (in the center of the left cartouche) that are barely noticeable at first glance? ..
