A fragment from the "Book of the Night", depicted on the ceiling of the tomb of Ramses V / VI (KV9, it was started by Ramses V but not completed, probably was buried there, later it was completed by Ramses VI, and was buried there). The composition depicts the end of the night voyage of the Solar Boat: at the top, a scarab lying on a sacrificial table, which, in turn, is mounted on a characteristic sleigh, personifies Atum. He turns into another scarab - a newborn morning Khepri (which is accompanied by the ideogram "sky" and a baby figurine). The process takes place in the presence of primordial deities - allegories of Eternity: Heha (Hehu) and Hehet (Hehut). Below is a meeting of two Rooks: Night and Day. The accompanying text reads:
“Exit from the Duat, moving (literally rest) to the Boat of the Day, floating on the waters of Nun, at the hour of Ra (under the name) “Looking out (since the “hour” in Egyptian is feminine) the beauty of her master” (12th hour nights). Transformation into Khepri, rising to the horizon, (for) having entered the mouth, leaves the womb (meaning the path of Ra through the body of the goddess Nut during the night). Glittering in the open gates of the horizon (i.e., dawn, dawn) at the hour (under the title) "Radiance of the beauty of Ra" (1st hour of the day), in order to give life to humanity.
